Importance of Asphalt Crack Filling
Crack filling is a very important maintenance step for your parking lot. Repairing your cracks will help prevent water from penetrating into your subbase, which can be a major cause of pavement failure. Asphalt is designed to catch the water and drain into designated areas. Standing water will cause surface deterioration and will allow water to flow and penetrate the underlayment. If left unattended, open cracks will begin to compromise the pavement surface and eventually lead to the need for more costly repairs.
Asphalt Enterprises uses hot rubberized joint sealant that meets federal specifications to fill all cracks approximately 3/8” or larger. This will provide a seal between the crack and the subbase, which will extend the life of your pavement--a valuable asset.

- Minimizes Crack Growth
- Keeps Dirt, Sand, Grass, & Other Vegetation Off of Your Parking Lot
- Stops the Problem While It Is Only a Crack Rather Than Turning into a Pot Hole or Failed Area
